FOCUS OF PRACTICE

John Stocking’s practice emphasizes estate planning, wills, estates, trusts, Wisconsin’s unique Marital Property Act guardianship and gift and death taxes. He further concentrates his practice in two areas of estate planning: 1) Helping families with persons with disabilities plan the transfer of their assets so that the person with the disability can continue to qualify for valuable federal and state benefits, and 2) Helping the elderly preserve their private assets when they need expensive nursing home and health care. He also represents people with disabilities and their families in a broad range of other problems, including school rights.
