FOCUS OF PRACTICE
Ms. Rich concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, land use and environmental law and related litigation. A significant part of her practice is devoted to real estate development involving regulation of wetlands, flood plains, shorelands, and navigable waterways. She has prevailed in several actions challenging the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, including challenges to DNR jurisdiction, invalidating navigability determinations, and defending against DNR restrictions on flood plain construction. She has also earned a reputation for vigorous defense of governmental enforcement actions on behalf of individuals and businesses.
Ms. Rich is the immediate past President of the Sheboygan County Bar Association, the former co-chair of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section, and a member of the Board of Directors of the State Bar’s Environmental Law Section. She is a frequent speaker on land use and environmental law topics.
