Frances -- That is the rub - very few members of an LLC can prove they are a full time employee of the LLC - often becasue they aren't. Member's are rarely paid a salary from the LLC.

For your upcoming case, you will need to bring the lawsuit in the name of the owner of the property -- the LLC -- so if you cannot satsfy the court that you are a full time employee of the LLC, then you will need to retain a lawyer to represent the LLC.

As the sole owner/member/contact person etc of my LLC, how exactly do I support that with out a W2?

I am taking an ex-tenant to court in 2 months for the judgement of money. At the time of her lease I did not have the property in an LLC. This is smalls claims court. Am I safe to represent myself, the LLC was transferes after I rerented.
